April Biker Shows
As spring arrives, so do some kick-ass biker rallies across the United States. Here at GothRider, we have your need-to-know information to plan your trips.
Up first is Arizona Bike Week from Wednesday, April 6th to Sunday, April 10th. Hosted at WestWorld of Scottsdale, Arizona Bike Week has been a popular rally for decades. This year?s lineup is epic.
Kick off the week with a concert from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on Wednesday night. Other featured bands Blues Traveler, Metalhead, and Social Distortion. Each day of the biker rally offers a full line-up on rides, shows, and concerts.
There are several rides you can participate in, including several for charity. Featured charities this year include a prostate cancer ride and the Phoenix Children?s Hospital. Be prepared to pay extra registration fees for these rides.
Bike Week has partnered with several local hotels including Holiday Inn Express and a few Marriotts to offer special conference rates. If you?re looking for cheaper options, the Scottsdale area features several Motel 6 hotels with rates under $75. You can also reserve a tent site from the Arizona Bike Week website at a rate of $100 for the entire rally.
Carts, Bikers, and Babes Rally
Next up is the Carts, Bikers, and Babes Rally in Somerville, TX. The CBAB rally runs from April 14th-17th. The rally features a huge lineup of concerts including Saints and Sinners and Shaving Susie. Every night has a wild themed party, like Sexy Teacher Theme Night.
Every day you can visit the Shy Girls Saloon or compete in the Poker Run. Friday evening offers Oil and Shaving Cream Wrestling, while Saturday offers bike shows and a tattoo contest.
Fifty dollars will get you into all three days of the rally. The site offers RV hookups. Somerville lodging includes cheap motels and finer bed-and-breakfast inns. Don?t miss all the fun the Carts, Bikers, and Babes Rally has to offer!
Outside of Unadilla, Georgia is Angel City–a biker heaven. The Old West-themed site features an annual rally that runs from Wednesday, April 20th to Sunday April 24th.
The Angel City Rally has daily concerts, rides, and a burn-out pit. Angel City also has two saloons and a popular wet t-shirt contest. They have a great lineup of vendors and musicians.
RV sites book up fast, so book now. This year they are offering primitive camping for $20 for the duration of the rally. If you would prefer to stay in a hotel, the website features a promo code for Ramada. Other nearby hotels are Scottish Inns and Econo Lodge. Admission for all five days of the rally is only $55.
The best part of the Leesburg Bikefest is the price–free! Held in historic Leesburg, Florida from April 22nd to 24th, the Leesburg Bikefest is chock full of events. To date, there are 53 musical acts lined up at various venues.
Other than an impressive band lineup, the Bikefest feature a tattoo expo, various hot body contests, and plenty of bike shows. Learn expert bike tips from motorcycle cops, watch bike drill teams perform amazing routines, and participate in the Biker Games. If you?re a poker player, there will be poker runs for charity.
Leesburg offers plenty of lodging, mostly well-known chains like Days Inn, Hampton, and Microtels. Since Leesburg is on the lake, there is plenty of RV and tent camping in the area.
