Most noteworthy, is that we’ve indicated the ideal time to plan for the best colors of fall foliage, so you can mark it on your calendar.
  • THE BERKSHIRES, MASSACHUSETTS
The leaves begin to turn in late September in the Berkshires, and the peak Fall foliage season occurs during Columbus Day weekend in mid-October. This area also boasts spas, and is especially known for notable art and culture, as well as antiquing.
  • ENCHANTED CIRCLE SCENIC BYWAY, NEW MEXICO
Late September to early October offers the most vibrant colors along this eighty-three-mile loop. While aspens of yellow and dark orange may highlight the area, you can find other foliage boasting fiery bright reds and purple.
  • GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS, NORTH CAROLINA & TENNESSEE
Fall colors peak from early October through early November at one of the most visited national parks in the U.S. Since there are over 100 species of trees and 800 miles of scenic roads and hiking trails, you?ll get the full impact of the glorious fall season to enjoy.
  • LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MISSOURI
Pencil in the last two weeks of October for the best foliage viewing. It?s a great time for biking with temperatures dropping into the sixties, therefore you just might want to bring your leather.
